I think it will definately be over by then. They already have almost 500 and too much Pokemon will ruin the game in my opinion. But it will surely be a sad day when it ends
 
How could they give Pokemon up? Everytime a new game comes out, a new generation of kids will go play it. I'll be d***ed if I don't keep playing Pokemon, it's just too hard to give up. I love it. It's addicting.... XD

As long as Pokémon continues to appeal to fans, it will survive.

I'll keep playing until the make Antlionsuperawesomemon (Even though Drowzee already fills this role.)

I don't play it for teh gimmicks. :p
 
Of course it will survive, they've the money to do it, that wouldn't be a problem, and how much Digimons has Digimon? wasn't it something like over 2000. Pokemon will reach that number too one day...
 
Pokemon will never die out... NEVER!
It's an awesome anime plus a fantastic game sequence, and as long as there something called " kids" in this world, Nintendo will keep on creating new Pokemons and new ways to play it.

Pokemon will eventually die out, or at least, I've been thinking that for a few years. It was never meant to have this much success, even the creators admit that.

D&D celebrates 35 years this year. Why can't Pokémon do the same thing?
 
as long as the anime goes strong and Ash stays 10 years-old, Pokemon will not die. But by that time there will be like, 9555, 777467 pokemon in counting, so I don't know...

You really can't compare the too. D&D has emotionally changed people's lives forever. Talk to me in about 25 years if Pokemon has had that. >____>

It WILL die in 50 years, I'll bet my money on it. At least not he way we know it. With all the modern technology coming out, Trading card games will be as classic as checkers. The games may survive, but I think that virtual reality might change the gaming industry.
 
Pokemon will die in fifty years, almost no card games or games can last that long(excluding like checkers, yahtzee you get the idea here). I just don't think it will appeal to as many people with all the new technolgoy coming out. Although then if they still made 4 sets every year I must wonder how much a base set first edition shadowless charizard would be worth.

If modern technology is coming, Pokemon can use that too, can't it? Maybe we get robot Pokemon pets :O
