What do you think about Weavile G? With 6 SP Pokémon in play with Lucario GL he OHKOs Gengar.
I think that he may be a great tech if Gengar will be very popular.. the only problem is Uxie, but with Psychic Restore we can risolve it.

Weavile G from Platinum.

I hope you are referring to Gengar Prime. OHKOing a Gengar SF isn't exactly the wisest decision.

It's not as bad as some may think. I actually like Weavile G, but for one, you get owned by Machamp or any Donphan deck you come across. However, you can pile damage on if you run a Special Dark with a DCE and attach an Expert Belt to do 100 damage tops. Unfortunately, you'll get crushed if you let bulky decks like Steelix to get set up, so you'd need to run at least three Pokemon Collector and even a few Great Ball. This would be a nice tech IMO.

The last thing you want to do when playing against Gengar(SF), is to attack the Gengar. You never want to risk setting off "Fainting Spell". That's why I think Weavile G is a bad tech for that match-up. I would recommed other options for anti-gengar techs, but I don't know what deck you're playing.

Yeah it helps to KO it(sorta), try maybe stuff that places damage counters on it or avoids it somehow(psychic restore etc.)

I'd rather go with Absol G Lv. X, it can disrupt and can attack quickly. I don't like the idea of filling the bench either.

That means you cant drop an uxie or azelf, which is pretty inescapable. I have seen it used as a starter in an SP deck as a substitute for call if you dont have any.

Guys.. if I play LuxChomp with 1 Weavile G and I K.O. a Gengar, if the Fainting Spell flips heads isn't a problem, because I've still Luxray and Garchomp..

But if Gengar is leveled up, you won't KO it. The fainting spell Gengar useually isn't leveled up, but cursegar is.
