VBulletin?

Our staff have been discussing the possibility of converting these forums from MyBB forums to VBulletin forums. We feel that if we were to switch, we would be using more conventional technology that people would be more familiar with.

What are your guys' thoughts about this?

MyBB forums are the most popular forums in the world. There are many domains, where you can make your own forum and they are (almost) all based on MyBB. And this (Pb) forum is the nicest forum I've ever seen. Believe me I saw more forums then you think. Anyway: I think that it's better if you don't switch

I've experienced that forum system before and was dissapointed because of its boring feel (this is one of the reasons I swtiched to PB).

Well, it would be nice if we had a preview of the Forums using the VBulletin Code. From there, we can compare the differences between the two Codes.

I'm quite positive that you can change skins and customize the forum significantly. If PB converted to VBulletin it will not look like Croftminster at all since that's a completely different layout altogether. Croftminster purposely has the basic settings on to reduce lag and loading times for pages, so alot of the good features have been disabled on it.

MyBB's layout looks more relaxing than VBulletin. Keeping MyBB's layout is recommended.

Personally I want to keep MyBB. VBulletin is great and all but it just won't feel like PB to me. Probably just because I'm used to the way things are, but whatever. I'll be a loyal member no matter what the forum is like. You can count on that.

Basically the only thing I cannot do (that affects me) with MyBB is spoilers. I used forums with vBulletin, and I find not much difference in both. MyBB looks nicer.

Well, like I said in my previous post, getting a preview about Pokebeach.com Forums in VBulletin before popping up answers and more options would help us decide.
