I haven't played a game of Pokemon in about 2 months now and was just wondering how useful of a card ERL is?I have a battle roads coming up in 2 weeks and am working on a ERL deck, but if it ain't going to knock out many thing in the new rotation,I may have to re think my deck idea.
I'm in masters and have quite a bit on my plate at the moment and really can't test my deck or go to league to see some of the new decks and ideas out there.

Any help(good or bad) will be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Please read the Player's Sandbox rules before posting. I added the link. ~EspeonROX.

Entei & Raikou Legend from HS-Unleashed.

good against Uxies and spiritombs. set up cards that have low hp will get IHKO

How does he help against Spiritomb?

Anyway, ERL is best kept in a surprise. If the opponent plays 2/3 pokes that ERL can take out, he can be a gamechanger. Best used in decks that can use Manectric PT as well.

Definitly Manectric. You could use Magnezone/Typhlosion P. If you use Luxray X you could maybe try Crobat G?

Entei-Raikou LEGEND is standardly run as a 1-1, late-game finisher line, and is best used when it suddenly appears on the field (similar to the idea of 'surprise Promocroak', or in the old format, 'surprise Dusknoir'). Because it can pop anything with a power for 80 (to the guy that said Spiritomb, I suggest you read Thunder Fall's text better =P), you can draw a lot of prizes simultaneously, effectively winning you the game. Most Pokemon that it hits usually have drop powers that are used up only once anyway with only a few exceptions. The most common cards with powers that this card does not OHKO are Promocroak G, Bronzong G (although after 1 Galactic Switch it can still be knocked out), Luxray GL LV.X, Garchomp C LV.X, and one or two other things. But even so, Crobat Gs and any Uxies are just prize bait for this thing.

If you yourself run a deck with a lot of powers, Manectric PL can very well be a necessity, since it will block any damage to you. A few SP decks run Entei-Raikou LEGEND as well; in their case it's only used if they have enough of a prize advantage that they can KO multiple of the opponent's Pokemon at once with minimal impact to themselves. (They'll usually have Bronzong G as well so they can Galactic Switch an Energy onto ERL pronto, but they will usually Turn the Bronzong right after that.)

You will probably not need more than a 1-1 line (seeing as the card is so hard to acquire, you might not be able to get more than a 1-1 line!) in your deck; Blazeray is solid enough as it is and doesn't need more than 1 Entei-Raikou LEGEND in the deck.

Hope this helps!

Right now my deck is-
2-2 ERL
2-2 Luxray GL
2-2 Blaziken FB
2 Crobat G
2 Bronzong G
2-1 Uxie
2 Aerodactyl GL?(just in there to help get threw my deck faster)

Even though I also don't think it should be a main card, if you want to use straight ERL then good partners would probably be Ninetales HS and Manectric PL, not Luxray and Blaziken.

My original idea was to go with Ninetails and Manetric, but a lot of people in my area have gone back to Dialga G.
I have posted my deck for all to look at.

If they are all switching to Dialga G, that would give you an advantage. ERL is still a fire type, so you will ohko Dialga G every time with its other attack.

ERL should only be played when you start getting lazy in games and wanna draw easy prizes, or if you get so tired at late-night tournaments that you play like you're high and can't do anything right except attach energy to your ERL to win games. It's regularly not worth it because you waste precious turns getting your Uxies off the field, and if you play a single Azelf, it's almost always not worth it.

ERL is still VERY VERY VERY VERY good, given that it can't take out Claydols, it can still be a great late game finisher, I know this because I have a lot of experience with it after rotation. People also don't realize that its first attack is good, OHKO's Jumpluff, DGX, Scizor Prime without needing an E-Belt. Not to mention it is just about the funniest card to pull out on someone in the format, with Bronzong G's galactic switch you can draw like 4 prizes out of nowhere. Still great and will most likely be great until it is rotated.

Yes, I agree. ERL is still amazing, granted, you have to get it out first. :p Galactic Switch and an Energy out of nowhere can get multiple prizes and like you^ said, OHKO'ing Belted/Non-Belted Dialga is still supremely good. The only issue I have with it is it's easiness to actually get on the field. But once you do, it does rock.

dmaster out.

^lol yeah, I took four prizes to win the game, when I bluffed to make you think I was gonna kill the dialga.

I just want to ask the people who voted no,why do you feel this way?

I haven't played in months and just want to know why you feel ERL has fallin of the wagon.
