example: if i had an uxie active with unownG attached and machamp attacked with its attack that would KO a basic what would happen? would it do nothing or 40 damage?

Read machamp. His attack clearly states that the attack does the OHKO effect instead of damage, so uxie never takes damage. G prevents all effects of attacks, so machamp's attack has no effect to uxie. So his attack does nothing against uxie.
