Trainers are a fundamental part of everyone's deck, and as we all know, we're losing many important ones with the new rotation, and sometimes, at least for me, it's hard to keep track of the cards that are legal. So as I'm sitting in bed sick, grieving over the fact that I'm missing Hartford regionals right now (i'm so salty), I put together a quick list of Trainers that will be legal post-rotation, organized by which set they were released in. I just put down all of the ones that I knew were very popular and ones that I thought might have future potential; let me know if I missed any! Ultra Prism: Cynthia Cyrus P. Star Escape Board Lillie Looker Looker Whistle Order Pad Pal Pad Pokémon Fan Club Volkner Lusamine (Full Art) Crushing Hammer (Full Art) Peeking Red Card (Full Art) Forbidden Light: Beast Ring Judge Mysterious Treasure Ultra Space Energy Recycler (Full Art) Celestial Storm: Acro Bike Apricorn Maker Copycat Energy Switch Rare Candy Shrine Of Punishment Steven’s Resolve Super Scoop Up Switch Tate and Liza Dragon Majesty: Fiery Flint Lance P. Star Lost Thunder: Adventure Bag Custom Catcher Electropower Heat Factory Life Forest (good for possible grass decks) Net Ball (again, good for grass) Prof. Elm’s Lecture Sightseer Thunder Mountain Choice Helmet Team Up: Bill’s Analysis Brock’s Grit Electrocharger Erika’s Hospitality Pokémon Communication Viridian Forest Wondrous Labyrinth Judge Whistle Unbroken Bonds: Dust Island (could work well with koga) Fire Crystal Giovanni’s Exile Green’s Exploration Janine Koga’s Trap Lt. Surge’s Strategy Pokegear 3.0 Power Plant Red’s Challenge Welder Energy Spinner Dusk Stone
SM - Unbroken Bonds also contains Energy Spinner. It is the only Item that reliably snags a Basic Energy in Standard, IIRC.
Here’s some Dragon Majesty stuff you might want to add. -Fiery Flint -Lance Prism Star Also, I think Dusk Stone could have a spot, but that’s up to you.
Thanks! I just thought Fiery Flint could see play in ReshiZard or Blachephalon, and Lance could somehow do something.
Yeah, Fiery Flint will probably work well with Welder, basically two turns of guaranteed attaches, which would be great early game. I have a feeling pretty much EVERY card with some relation to fire types will see some play in the upcoming format...
Remember the FA supporters and FA items extend the card's legality. For example crushing hammer secret rare from ultra prism and FA lusamine from, again, ultra prism
Oh yeah, I'll add them all in, but I didn't add them at first just because of the difficulty to get them $$$
You can use other ones. Because lusamine FA does the same thing as the crimson invasion lusamine, you can use a crimson invasion one instead of the expensive FA.
