Ruling Trainer Lock

If a player is being prevented from playing Trainer cards (such as the pokebody of the new Vileplume or Dialga G's first attack), can he still play supporters or stadiums?

As of Diamond&Pearl, Trainers, Supporters, and Stadiums are now separate divisions of cards. A Supporter or Stadium may still be played when Vileplume's in play.
