We should have a tournament every 2 weeks or so. It would be awesome and could help people to get better at competitive battling.
 
That would be an impossibility. The Behind the Scenes on these tournaments are really painful. Also, if people getting better is your concern, have them practice on their own. They don't need tournaments to help them get better.

I would love it, I need some good training for the VGC.
 
Lol it would be hard to organize, hard to get enough entries, and almost impossible to finish without 50% of battles being coinflips. I think we are doing pretty good as it is.
 
The thing is some people also post that they want to join then never get their matches done. Like Zero said also, it is a lot of work. It is hard to give only a few days for deadlines on matches because of time zones or people may just have a life.
 
I think the bottom line here is that having a tournament every two weeks is simply impractical. It takes a lot of work and organization to make these happen. Not only would tournaments this common be a mess, but it would also make them less special. Less excitement. The rarer tournaments are, the more people will be excited for them and try their best.

...and if it's not going to be intense, if everyone has the 'next time' attitude; we might as well just be battling.
 
You do know how much stress it takes D9 and Cal to organize tournaments. Of course you don't feel it as all you have to do is sign up and play. Not to mention a ton of people don't do their matches on time, the Shoddy vs Wi-Fi debate and yada-yada, bottom line is, if you want to practice do it on your own.
