Well, Drizzle + Swift swim is banned so I hate smogon... Now Tornadus fills that role of a rain inducer.

In Depth Analysis
641.png

Tornadus (M) @ Damp Rock
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hurricane
- Hammer Arm
- Rain Dance
- Taunt

Synergy with the Team:
Tornadus is my rain inducer, without him I cannot set up my primary sweeper. He uses his assess to Taunt and Rain Dance, and Prankster to make him a massive pain. He can keep up with the meta, and his Hurricane can preform a massive STAB attack. He out preforms all other Rain Dancers. With a quick Taunt he can shut down some major threats like Breloom, and such. Without rain this team falls apart.

141.png

Kabutops (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Low Kick

Synergy with the Team:
Kabutops is my set up sweeper. He was always one of my favorite Swift Swimmers, but apparently smogon cant handle it :<. He can set up quickly, and make a huge appearance, no one expects him. With all the rain teams running around Tornadus isnt always inducing rain usually rain is just there. Kabutops is heavily relying on Sub from Baton Pass Zapdos, or just getting lucky. He is one of the best guys on my team.

230.png

Kingdra (M) @ Damp Rock
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 88 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 164 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Rain Dance
- Hydro Pump
- Dragon Pulse
- Draco Meteor

Synergy with the team
This team desperately needs another solution to the bulky dragons. It also needed another Rain inducer, and swift swimmer. This made him the best candidate for the job. Kingdra can keep dragons away from the team, and set up to stall. He also benefits from Tornadus's Hurricane to revenge KO anything that he missed.

385.png

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 224 SDef / 32 Spd
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Iron Head
- Body Slam
- Ice Punch
- Wish
(Set changed by Bippa)

Synergy with the Team
Jirachi can easily work around these pesky dragon types. Paraflinch was better than CM + Sub because of the ability to ruin one of my threats called Gengar. Body Slam has the ability to paralyze my opponet and give me a little bit of hax. Jirachi can make my opponent mad, and keep threats away from my team. The problem is, when Infernape uses something like Focus Punch will destroy my poor little Jirachi.

462.png

Magnezone @ Air Balloon
Trait: Magnet Pull
EVs:
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon

Synergy with the Team.
Magnezone makes sure that the metal types such as Scizor and such dont make an appearence. Without Magnezone, my sweepers die to these metal types. He also takes care of bulky types that Zapdos can, just in case he gets KOd. He can quickly work around some guys, and can sweep through a Mamoswine.

205.png

Forretress (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Gyro Ball

Synergy with the Team
Forretress is my entry hazard inducer. I use him and Tornadus to mess with my opponents head. He uses Gyro Ball to just wreck other Pokemon because he has like no Spe. He also has some nice stats, and is the best Hazards inducer in the Metagame.

Threat list key
Low Threath
Medium Threat
Large Threat
Massive Threat

Threat List
Reuniclus: This guy can set up with no effective counter on my team. He can make a massive threat if not delt with ASAP

Terrakion: If he is allowed to set up, or if hes scarfed he can be a bit annoying. I dont see an effective counter to him other than Jiraci, but thats risking a Sacred Sword.

Volcarona: Its nerfed because of rain, and Tornadus, but it can KO him if allowed to set up.

Landorus: Keeping my team pinned down with large STAB attacks, he can become the most annoying guy alive

Espeon: Bouncing back Hazards and setting up dual screens just totally ruins the synergy with Forretress and Tornadus

Gengar: This guy has NO counter on my team, and is almost always resistant to all my team. Disable can turn this into a messy world, and it can just tip my team over and pour it out.

Infernape: Jirachi had a solution, but so does Infernape. I am relying on Paralysis which just plain sucks

Virizion: This guy just wrecks this team like a cannon ball, he can't be KO'd by any guy accept Tornadus, and that's just risky.

Previous Members of the Team:

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 192 HP / 64 Def / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Roost
- Thunderbolt
- Baton Pass

Thanks for the help (If any :p)

Howdy MrGatr:

If you're having problems with Gengar, Reuniclus and Espeon, switching Jirachi's set to a Specially Defensive Set, with Body Slam/Iron Head/Wish/Ice Punch. Having Ice Punch lets you get through SubDisable Gengar, in addition to hitting Dragons hard.

You need Stealth Rock on your team. Put it on Forretress instead of Toxic Spikes. With Jirachi as a special wall (it does that so much better that Forry ever will), switch Forry to a Physically Defensive set.

You'll want Damp Rock on Tornadus to extend the duration of Rain Dance.

You'll also want a secondary Swift Swimmer. Kingdra is the best. Putting Kingdra in instead of Zapdos will give you lots more offensive power. Kingdra can also be a Rain Dancer, which this type of team needs badly.

I think that's about all I have to say about this team right now. Good luck.

I agree with Bippa. you need another Rain Dancer. unless you plan to sweep in 5 turns(Impossible), you'll need another one.

Also, you need some Thunder spammers. it's one of the many benefits of rain.

I don't see Zapdos and Baton Pass doing you too good. it might let you get in something safely, but other than that, you'll want some more offense attacks.

also, Gastrodon walls this team for all eternity. You Need Hidden Power Grass or Energy Ball or something on someone.

Hidden Power Fire in the rain isn't that good of an idea. I think Thunder in the rain is stronger on Scizor than Hidden Power Fire.

You might want to consider Superpower on Tornadus, since it won't lower your speed, has higher base power, and is more accurate.

Sweet guys, I will work on updating this RMT :) Thanks :)

This is just... like yeah...

Hammer Arm was the smogon recommended set, and superpower isn't a move I prefer. I believe it's special too...

No, Superpower is Physical, if that's what you were confused about. Now, Superpower can do more damage to Tyranitar, and it does not lower your speed like Hammer Arm, so Tornadus can stay in and Hurricane. 90% accuracy doesn't help Hammer Arm's case at all, so I highly recommend Superpower. You wil rarely need to use it twice in a row because the blobs have become increasingly rare.

Aside from that, the team looks fairly solid. If you feel like you can consistently set up Rain, I would put Thunder on Magnezone, but your choice. You also need the EVs for it. I would think 36 HP / 252 SAtk / 220 Spe is the spread.

Forretress should be Physically Defensive, and you may forgo Spikes for HP Ice, as dragons like DD Salamence that get through Kingdra can do a number to you. In that case, 2 Speed IVs is needed.

I also think Thundurus-T could benefit your team. Kabutops is frail and needs free switch-ins, so Scarfed Volt Switch can accomplish that. You also may need an Electric immunity (Volt Absorb), as Magnezone doesn't have the bulk to take too many hits. I'm not sure of what to replace, though. Your decision there.

Good luck with this unique team.

Thanks, I will try to get those suggestions in quickly :) (I sound like an assistant :p)
