Post the name of a Pokémon and a STAB move it can learn which will, in battle, have a type advantage over the previous poster's Pokémon.
Ex:
P1: Whiscash used Surf!
P2: Grovyle used Leaf Blade!
P3: Vanilluxe used Ice Beam!
The following Pokémon are not allowed:
- Kecleon
- Ditto
- Arceus
- The same Pokémon as the previous poster, i.e. you can't have an infinite string of Gengars using Shadow Ball on each other.
- More than two Pokemon of the same type in a row, i.e. if the last two posters played Dragonite, then Flygon, you must choose something that is not a Dragon-type Pokémon.
* COROLLARY, added May 23: If Kingdra is played to defeat a Dragon-type, the above rule is temporarily ignored for the sake of the game.
- Pokémon with no weaknesses, i.e. Spiritomb, Sableye, Tynamo+evolutions, and any Pokemon with an ability or status condition that makes it immune to anything that would otherwise be super-effective.
- AS OF JUNE 4, you may not quote yourself or use an identical Pokemon and attack combination that you or someone else has already used within 50 posts of yours.
Hidden Power is also banned for obvious reasons.
As of May 13, 2011, the following have been made explicit.
NON-DAMAGING MOVES SUCH AS WILL-O-WISP OR SPLASH ARE NOT ALLOWED.
NON-EXISTENT MOVES SUCH AS MANTLE CANNON ARE NOT ALLOWED.
The following general rules apply:
1) All Pokebeach Forums and Games & More rules as laid down by the Supermods.
2) This game is YPPY. Each time you post, you must wait for TWO other players to post before you can post again.
3) You must post a Pokémon AND a super-effective STAB move. If the move is not STAB, or if it's not super-effective, or if you forget the move altogether, you will be warned, and third offense and beyond will result in your post being marked as SPAM. Same disciplinary system applies for any use of disallowed Pokémon or moves.
