Yes, that's what I think about him. As much as I remember him, he revived many threads and he was spamming a lot. I hope in your long break, you visited more intelligent forums (the ones, where you can speak "liek zis" doesn't count as intelligent) and became better/regular/veteran member (even if you were veteran somewhere else, you are not yet veteran here).

(in case GPM1 (GPM1 is the old one and GPM2 is the new one) will read that post) You may not know me, because I changed my name (many times). You may know me as Deoxys, Shadow_Hunter, NerdyPerson or PorygonZ. I think I was Shadow_Hunter that time. And yes, I wasn't perfect member at that time as well, but I changed ... I think.

By the way (really don't want to interrupt that intelligent post with BTW :p), I got a suggestion. One of you may become Ghost Pokémon Master and the other one may be Ghost Pokemon Master.


I was just looking at first posts of some moderators. I was literally impressed how intelligent some of them were. Let me quote KG for example.

Who said I wanted to be one? Being a mod is a tough responsibility. I'm better off reporting n00bish posts, and I'm not too active so my moderation powers would be useless. And getting my inbox filled up with pm's from other members instead of reporting is quite annoying. I like my status just the way it is.

What do you expect is going to happen? All the noobs will go away? If you all joined at those ages, then I can guarantee you would have all acted the same way. Just because you grow up doesn't mean there will be no more noobs.

I remember my first post...Yeah...It had a heap of swearing in it. WPM turned the filter off =/
 
Without n00bs, there would not be elites. Without elites, everyone would be n00bs. We need n00bs like we need elites; they're co-existent.

No, but I see where you are coming from even though you were porbably joking. N00bs make good members good. If there were no n00bs, everyone owul dbe a n00b because no - one would be better than anyone because the not as good people... No Idon't seee what you mean actually -_-

N00bs will be n00bs, but thewy evolve into good members eventually, so let them be n00bs, we can't stop it. The force is to powerful. Give in, and just ask the mods to ban anyone who reallly gets on there nervs.

N00bs aren't a problem, they're spam and useless posting is. If we can train teh n00bs to be good by enforcing the rules more, they will learn.

We need to be harder with the rules.

1st offence, warning.
2nd offence, 1 week ban
3rd offence, month ban
4th offence - perma ban

Although this just seems like what we have now, you should do it for any offence, for example I have seen many posts that are just plain spam the the member hasn't had a warning or been baned, just a mod edit there post. No matter what the offence is, follow it through, the first time, not the 21st time.

However, I understand all members occasionally bend the rules, or have a tendancy to double post ( this includes myself, I'm not perfect) and they shouldn't be banned for that if its a one off. For example, what we should do is if you get a warning, and don't commit another offence for 2 weeks, the slate gets wiped.

I think this is fair, so one off offences won't be harshly punished, but common offenders will.
 
I'm locking this now, since there is no point in discussing the n00b problem when we have a possible solution to it.
