Should the Fan Creations Section be separated into Sub-Forums?

Okay, since WPM made a forum for the TFG, I thought I'd address a bigger problem than a new forum for a few fans.

The Fan Creations section is cluttered. We've got shops, tournaments, fan arts, and Fan Fics. My suggestion is to take the Fan Creations Section and break it into subforums:

Fan Art (For posting your work and getting comments on it)
Tournaments (For the increasing amount of tournaments lately)
Shops (For people to get banners and avvys and other requested art works done for them)
Fan Fics (Just cuz it doesn't fit with the other ones)

The main place i am is the fan creations forum and max you are right!! It is very cluttered and due to that some small shops or small contests dont have a chance!! It is very cluttered and i think thats it does need sub forums!!

This does sound like a good idea...Everything I look at goes off the front page after a day...At leats this way the alive stuff would stay shown and we wouldn't have to go looking for it.

Sometimes I actually have to search the user to find their thread it's so hard.

It's a good idea, but I don't think it's that nessesary. Becaue if you think about it it's not that much of a big deal.

Ya a sub forum for ONE thing. T_T That won't help out overall. There are ALOT more of the other things like fan fics then active contests.

QFT. The only thing I disagree is that Tourneys should be held in their respective sub-forums, ie Banner/Avataring tourneys in the Fan Art section, Fan-Fic tourneys in the fanfic section.

Creating a sub-forum shouldn't be hard, and all you have to do is just wait... look at the TFG forum, didn't we request it, and waited till WPM had the time to create the forum? Yeah, just wait...

Actually, I saw NUMEROUS threads asking for one, and WPM said he WOULDN'T do it. But whatever, his choice. What I'm saying is the TFG thing got it's own forum for literally the "Figure of the Day" threads. I don't know if that just means the mods are still moving threads there or what, but the Fan Creations section has been here since I joined over a year ago.

Back then, it wasn't so bad. There were some major shops, a few Fics, and some "rate my" whatever once in a while. Point is, some genius said let's make tournaments, and they're popping up everywhere (I've made one myself) and there are people starting four or five fics at a time, and on top of that we have enough ACTIVE shops to cover the fist page of Fan Creation threads. if we sort these out into sub forums, we can easily find things without searching the single forum for a thread that's last post was today. I hope the mods read this, and at least give me some kind of answer as to what WPM will say to this...

Lol, relax, WPM reads anyhting and everything in this forum. I feel that he's sort of like a ghost, being around all the time without our acknowledgement. Don't worry, he'll do what seems right and helpful to our forums, and IMO this seems right, so he'll create sub-forums, don't worry :p

As in fake card sets? Yes, making a fake card set is a Fan Art. It may be with more than one person, but it's the most popular form of fan art...another thing i though of were some RPGs i see on here, like Rainbow Topaz or whatever...however, those are few and far between, so they may fit best with Fan Art as well.

Excuse me? I happen to run the Figure of The Day threads....better not be bashing them!!
And yes, they moved all of those threads at my request...

I'm not bashing your threads, just saying that if there's going to be an entire forum for something you could put into one thread (Though I have nothing against the way you do it) then a section that needs serious cleaning up should get cleaned up. That's what happened with gaming disscussion, and I know the mods don't come around the Fan Creations sections much, but it's a major par tof these forums.

I wonder who started the contesst...*cough*Ketchup And Mustard*cough* anyways...It's annoying that people have like 5 fan fics going at once. He should like...limit them or something.

Tournaments shouldn't have their own sub-forums. Fan Art, Shops and Tournaments can be in the main forums, and the rest in separate forums.

All we really need is a Contest sub-forum...those are mostly the things filling it up. Before they came everything was calm.

Okay, so the basic roundup of ideas for the forum:
Main Forum:
Fan Creations/Art -where you post fan created items made by yourself. Guides on how to do so comes here, so do Rate My Item threads. Competition for Card Faking/Spriting/w/e comes here; fanfics out.

Sub-Forums:
Shops -Well, shops come here, and so do the watermark thread (stickied).

Fan-Fics -This is where fanfics thrive. No images allowed in here (I mean no Spriting threads, card faking, etc.)

That's pretty much all.
