Wrong forum, but I can answer.
Pokemon card game is primarily made for 1v1 battle, but there is a special set of extra rules that come into play if you want to do 2v2 battles with four players. (You basically have 2 Active Pokemon and a combined bench of no more than 4, and the teams alternate turns. Attacks can only attack 1 Defending Pokemon unless it says 'each' somewhere.)
