Ruling Stop watches?

Am I allowed to keep track of time in my matches using a stopwatch?
I time out way too often and having something to tell me how much time I've taken up without doing the math would be nice. I don't really see why I wouldn't be allowed to have one but I figure I might as well make sure.

It is up to the discretion of the Head Judge and/or TO of the event. If a player knows how much time is left during a match, they can take it as an opportunity to stall playing and try to wait out the clock.

I would say that if you want to use a stopwatch to keep track of how much time is left in a round, you need to clear it with the tourney staff beforehand.

Thoughts of other professors, please.

As DNA stated its normally up to the TO and Head Judge. I don't mind if someone wears one when I am judging as long as they are playing the game and not playing the clock.~Mark
