My friends I were arguing about this yesterday.Should that tape be shown to the public? He said "Yea, he'd want it shown. He want EVERYONE to know just how dangrous those animals CAN be.That IS what the documentry was all about."

I personally say no.What that does is just makes us(cause i'm willing to beat every single fan will see it) watch one of our Roll Modles or w/e he was to you die...And I dont want to SEE Steve Irwin die..

Thats my 2 Cents

R.I.P. Steve "The Crocadile Hunter" Irwin

Stingrays CAN be dangerous... but so can toasters, kittens and plastic spoons. There would be no point in it what-so-ever. Wanting to see someone die on tape, especially Steve Irwin, is wrong in my books.

Uhh... and the fact that it's the family's property and people would abuse it. That's not how Iwould want to be treated.
But actaully, I want to be creamated and have my ashes thrown into the wind of the Sierra Nevadas:/

All in all, it is wrong like bacon-boy said. He also left out that dirt can be dangerous if harassed.

I think it's wrong to show the video of someone dying. I also don't think the family would approve of it and want Steve to remembered for who he was, not what happened in his last moments.

I'm pretty sure the police made an announcement that they wouldn't reveal the video to the public.

Coming from an Aussie like yourself, what kind of impact did Steve Irwin have on you or others you know.

That sucks. Nobody wants to see anyone die. It's a disgrace.

I agree. I think it's enough for us to know how he died, but showing the actual footage of it is disturbing. I mean, look at how 9/11 footage impacted us. Granted, the scale here is severely different, but watching that footage over and over again (specifically people jumping from the buildings) made me sick to my stomach. No way would I want to see an international legend like him actually die. It's not something that needs to be shown, simply out of respect. People should respect that.

And not footage of B-17's, Focke Wulf's, and other WWII craft being destroyed?

That's different for me.  I wasn't actually there when that happened, and although it's still something destructive, I didn't watch it as it happened.  That's something entirely different.  Sitting though live reports on the news and watching events happen in real time is much different than watching a video in history class...

May I ask when this thread turned to an attack against another member? Quit trying to argue with people or trying to corner them. That ticks me off.

Hmm? Who's that who is being targeted by insults?

If that was directed to me, then I'm sorry. I'm just pointin out that, yes 9/11 was a very terrible event but it isn't the only in US history. Sorry:(

Agreed. The media play those clips way too much, and worry the public. I pray to god they don't get their hands on the Steve Irwin clip, although I'm pretty sure they won't.

Yes,poor steve & his kids, not even saying this as a fan but as a human being i really wish that they don't ever show that tape....:'(

If it's ever shown to the public, you can bet it'll get taped somehow, unless extreme precautions are taken... but how do you decide who sees it and who doesn't?

I imagine a number of you would take this the wrong way, but I would like to watch Steve Irwin die. I highly doubt that'll ever happen, though. Out of respect to Steve's family, however, I would suggest not showing it to anyone other than family.

This has been dead almost 2 weeks now. And I still don't think it will be released, lets just hope it doesn't come on the internet.
