I am thinking about getting back into the game and I was wondering what trainers are being used the most right now, and that are not rotating out. I am basically starting from scratch so any help will be appreciated.

RE: Stapels for starting out

Ones you'll definitely want to get are Pokémon Catcher, N, Hypnotoxic Lazer, Professor Juniper, Ultra Ball, Level Ball, Float Stone, and Tool Scrapper.

There are obviously a lot more, but those are some that I could think of off the top of my head. o:

RE: Stapels for starting out

If you need any help with the current format, don't hesitate to ask me! I would make the image appear itself, but would take way too much space even in a spoiler.

What do most of these cost as singles on average?

Staples vary a lot, depending on how many decks the card is a staple, and which sets/how many sets the staple was printed. As for the cards that are in almost every deck, if not a large majority, Colress, Professor Juniper and Tool Scrapper are around a dollar. N, Ultra Ball, Hypnotoxic Laser, Virbank City Gym and Float Stone around 2-3, and Pokemon Catcher and Skyla are around 4-5. As for the staple Trainers that are specific to 1 or 2 decks, those are usually less than a dollar. The Ace Specs range anywhere from 2 dollars to 8-9 dollars.

There are some staple Pokemon as well. Such as Keldeo EX (5-7 dollars for the cheapest version), Absol (4-5), Terrakion NV (3-6) and Virizion EX (25-30. It's a new card). Most Pokemon are exclusive to 1 deck. The ones here are pretty much the only ones that are in more than 1 deck.

Computer Search is Fairly cheap compared to its first 3 months price. Used to be 30, now its about 9. Its an Ace Spec.

Are you allowed to use the one printed in the base set, or do you have to have the ace spec computer search?
