Spread vs Modified

^I agree with the Flygon stuff, it's just a bit slow now, and the lack of many of the LV.Xs in the format now will make Flygon less viable.
Good riddance to MewPerior. MewPerior's just like a random number generator; you win spectacularly against some decks and lose miserably against others. Not how Pokémon should be played. Matchups do matter, but they shouldn't matter that much.
 
There are still many variants of flygon decks. One example that still works great is flylock. Flygon X active and chatot g/ slowking HGSS to fix the opponents top deck so they have to discard good cards.

I play a deck like flylock but i play a spread deck with bronzong MD as wall/spreader, flygon gives it free retreat cost so i can switch them when needed. I also play 1-1 giratina to add some disruption and i can start spreading with it if the opponent don't have much powers. And the i play 2-2 slowking HGSS to add top deck disruption.

Even though that variant won't work after the rotation (bronzong is MD and giratina PL *sob sob*) But it proves that flygon works great without claydoll. It's just "noobie" players (sry.. those without creativity) that complains on the loose of a card (that's not the main pokemon)

 
You can't argue that Claydol didn't help. It did. Lots of Stage 2 decks lost lots of momentum with the loss of Claydol, and Flygon was hit pretty hard. That list was for next rotation, so you can still play FlyLock, just not with Bronzong and Giratina like you said. The thing is, it hasn't really even been mentioned much at all. This is one of the first times I've heard of this deck, TBH, so I'm not sure it counts as completely "playable."
 
^No one has played it since some people lack creativity. And i have so many decks going on all the time, so i can't run them all at tournaments. So thats why no one has heard of this deck (and others) before.

 
Rotation might not even be RR on(unless it's been announced and I missed the memo). I've talked to a lot of the judges at my league and they seem to think that PL will survive one more rotation(UGH)
