should i get a dp tin? or take chances with some packs?

Mewtwo, Heatran, Palkia, and Regigigas are the most playable. I would highly recommend the Mewtwo Lv. X tin.
Yeah, I'd go for the tins...my girlfriend bought the Skymin X tin last week and she pulled Machamp Lv. X and a Shaymin Lv. X from the boosters, haha.

i didnt get any lv x's or rotoms or pikachus....
but i did get a rare holo in almost every pack, and 90% of my reverse holos were rare as well. so id say it was worth it. oh, and i actually think i could make a deck with just the cards i pulled. lol (without energies of course)
i also got the reprint of the old electabuzz

Starforce, packs are the same as the tins just WITHOUT a guaranteed X.
Anyway, those reprints are worth about the same as a few holos. Good cards indeed to have.

If you get a DP-SF tin, you'll get 1 ex pack, 2 SW/MT/DP packs, and a SF pack. (Usally). If you get a PT tin, you get two PT packs, a SF pack, and a SW/DP/MT pack. You can only get 3 packs for 15$. I'd get a tin for 15, you get an extra pack and a promo X. And a nice tin to hold all your energies!

Haha, I bought the Mewtwo tin and it came with TWO Lv. X Mewtwo cards...boy was I happy, and usually I'm pretty unexcited about the EX pack, but I got a shiny Gyarados, so I was happy! haha

I used to get soooo many tins when I started off playing. Out of around ten (between me and my 3 brothers) we only pulled one level X out of the packs, and that was a torterra.
when I buy actual packs and not tins I get very lucky. I bought two MD packs and got a Glaceon X, then a week later I bought two RR packs and Got Floatzel GL LvX and Charons Choice.
I'd go with single packs.
