Ruling Shining Mew

Hi all,

Im not sure if this has been discussed previously, but I was wondering if someone would be able to clear up a question I have regarding Shining Mew and its attack Legendary Guidance. As it states 'two energy cards', would I technically be able to grab special energy? Or would it still just be basic energy?

You can grab special energy from the (EDIT) deck with it. It would need to state basic energy specifically otherwise.

You can grab special energy from the discard pile with it. It would need to state basic energy specifically otherwise.

Where are you getting that you can grab it from the discard pile? Mew says two energy cards from your deck, so I would say special as well as basic.

My mistake, I keep having the impression it’s from the discard. You’re very right with it being any energy from the deck.
