It's attack states that it does 30 + 20 for each metal energy attached... does this include the 2 required to attack? So if only 2 metal energy are attached it would do 70 dmg... correct?
It factors in the energy cost as well, yes. The only time you wouldn't is when the attack specifically said it wouldn't count (just read any attack named "Water Gun").
