Discussion Sceptile + What = Success?

Well, Garbodor with just some switching cards (Currently testing 2 Switch and 1 Rope, might cut a Switch), can get the job done. If you are "Mega Sceptile looping" you can just retreat by discarding and just get back energy with Fisherman. Zoroark is cool, but with Fisherman, it isn't that necessary to avoid retreat cost, and it doesn't really help the Rayquaza matchup, cause all you do is just counter their stadium so they can never have 8 Pokemon on there, and just loop heals. Garbodor is overall the best stage 1 this deck currently has, Ariados is amazing, but I would rather just slow down the game, and win with a more powerful long term deck, Zoroark is cool, but as previously mentioned, not that good. If tool removal comes back, and Garbodor becomes less popular, you might want to revisit Ariados/Zoroark, but currently, Garbodor is just so good. With Volcanion possibly being a decent deck (Needs more testing), Garbodor is necessary to not instantly lose the match. You need to be able to Lysandre out their Volcanion-EX quickly, before they can start powering up their bench with Volcanion, and set up a Garbodor so their Volcanion-EXs become mute, and then just win with superior longevity. The only real way to play Mega Sceptile post rotation is through extending the game, and eventually making better use of your resources.

Mega Scizor and Zoroark Break not Zoroark and Ariados.

Has anyone tested against the Volcanion matchup? How bad is it/What build of Sceptile were you playing?
