Hey, everyone! I just got back from watching Saw 3D at my local theater, and I just gotta say this:
It was garbage.
After a great few movies and a couple of not so great ones, I'm very upset to say that this was the worst film of the entire series. Unless you've already seen the movie or don't plan on doing so whatsoever, please stop reading NOW, as this thread contains MAJOR spoilers.
*cough cough*
Like I said before, this film was garbage. The dialogue was incredibly cheesey, and the traps were ridiculous to the point where the audience began laughing (yes, I'm looking at you, Joyce's rocket ship-oven). It was way too fast paced for my liking, and what angers me the most is that everything that occured in the film was the OPPOSITE of what the crew said it would be like. They said that:
1) Non-hardcore fans could go into the film and still be able to understand the plot. This is complete bull. I am a hard-core fan, as are my other friends that were there as well, and we sat there half of the movie wondering what on Earth had just happened.
2) "The film won't have a Sopranos or Lost like ending!"
...LIES. The film basically leaves you with "LOL GORDONS IN ON IT LAWL SEE YA NEVER!", and then the credits roll. >_>
3) Cary Elwes, Tobin Bell, and Betsy Russel star in SAW 3D.
Really? Because they altogether had a whopping total screentime of 15 minutes. Seriously, do NOT leave to get your Coke refilled or you'll probably end up missing most of Tobin Bell's screen time.
Also, I'm pretty peeved that they used the Reverse Bear Trap for the THIRD TIME and the second consecutive time. It was just foolish to make it one of the twists AGAIN. Also, Jill's death scene was the most anti-climatic thing in film history. Just. Wow.
Overall, I gotta say, 3/10. This film makes SAW V look good. That's not was I was hoping for. I wish I could've stayed away from the trailers and promotional material, because JESUS, they SPOILED THE ENTIRE MOVIE!
As if the ending weren't predictable enough. I'll talk about the traps later on when I have time tonight. Post your opinions and responses.
