if u hav mor prize cards left than ure opponent and hav a scramble energy and a fire energy attached to salamence d, do u still hav to discard something to uz Delta blast?

Yes, since the scramble is active and is providing 3 metal energies, you would have to discard it.
but the card says discard 1 metal energy.
The Scramble energy is providing 3 energy of any type, including Metal. So if you choose the Scramble for the attack, the entire thing gets discarded. In other words, if one of the energies goes, the entire Scramble Energy is dragged along with it. Same thing goes if you retreat and you need to discard 1 energy and you choose the Scramble or a DRE. The one energy is tied in with the entire card.
