"Remember remember the 5th of November, the Gunpowder Treason and plot.
I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot"
Good day to you my fellow pokemon players, it is on this day that I wish to tell you a story about a man who lived exactly 402 years ago to this very day, his name is Guy Fawks, and is is one of histories unsung hereos.
In the year 1605, on November the 5th, Guy Fawks was attempting to complete a task that had been handed to him by fellow conspirators such as himself, known to this day as the Gunpowder Treason. The exact specifications of this crime were simple, gunpowder explosives were placed underneath the Houses of Parliment, and were to be lit so as to destroy it, killing the Tyrant, King James I; and a very corrupt Parliment in the process. 1800 lbs (800 kg) of gunpowder were stored underneath Parliment, and Guy Fawks was about to light them to blow tyrany and himself away, when another man, Peter Heywood, reportedly snached the torch from his hands, and arrested Guy Fawks for crimes against the crown.
After many days of torture and captivity, during which Guy Fawks did not give the names of his co-conspirators, Guy Fawks was to be publicly hanged, drawn, and quartered. However, unlike what the movie for which I am named shows, Guy Fawks was never hanged, instead he jumped from the top of the scafolding from which he was to be hanged, the fall that lead to his neck bieng broken. Thus this patriot escaped a very cruel death, and passed into legend.
Guy Fawks to this day remains the only man to ever enter Parliment with honest and honorable actions.
So do not forget the actions of this great man, and do not forget the message it sends: fear of a tyrant is never a justifiable reason for innaction, for those who stand by and allow evil actions to take place truely support those actions.
My appologies to the Moderators of this site if this is inappropriate for our younger audiance, but in commeration of this holiday, I felt a story needed to be told.
