"Remember remember the 5th of November, the Gunpowder Treason and plot.
I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot"

Good day to you my fellow pokemon players, it is on this day that I wish to tell you a story about a man who lived exactly 402 years ago to this very day, his name is Guy Fawks, and is is one of histories unsung hereos.

In the year 1605, on November the 5th, Guy Fawks was attempting to complete a task that had been handed to him by fellow conspirators such as himself, known to this day as the Gunpowder Treason. The exact specifications of this crime were simple, gunpowder explosives were placed underneath the Houses of Parliment, and were to be lit so as to destroy it, killing the Tyrant, King James I; and a very corrupt Parliment in the process. 1800 lbs (800 kg) of gunpowder were stored underneath Parliment, and Guy Fawks was about to light them to blow tyrany and himself away, when another man, Peter Heywood, reportedly snached the torch from his hands, and arrested Guy Fawks for crimes against the crown.

After many days of torture and captivity, during which Guy Fawks did not give the names of his co-conspirators, Guy Fawks was to be publicly hanged, drawn, and quartered. However, unlike what the movie for which I am named shows, Guy Fawks was never hanged, instead he jumped from the top of the scafolding from which he was to be hanged, the fall that lead to his neck bieng broken. Thus this patriot escaped a very cruel death, and passed into legend.

Guy Fawks to this day remains the only man to ever enter Parliment with honest and honorable actions.

So do not forget the actions of this great man, and do not forget the message it sends: fear of a tyrant is never a justifiable reason for innaction, for those who stand by and allow evil actions to take place truely support those actions.

My appologies to the Moderators of this site if this is inappropriate for our younger audiance, but in commeration of this holiday, I felt a story needed to be told.

I'm pretty sure the movie was rated R and the topic is a little mature for this site (you should have just left it at Pokegym).

I fail to see V mentioning the move at all, all I see is mention of the day and the event that took place. And if the gunpowder treason is too mature, then so is the American Revolution.

Er...his name is the movie's name. Duh. This is about terrorism, not revolution.

Just because you think what Guy did was right, doesn't make it appropriate.

Terrorism is revolution =/.
What do you think the British thought the American Colonists who were tar and feathering loyalists and attacking their ships were? I fail to see any inapropriate part about what he said, he simply told about that happened November 5th, 1605. Grow up.

Let me ask you then, who said talking about the American Revolution was appropriate for the forum? I don't see people talking about that.

He talked about blowing buildings up - in a time when that is something that has happened a lot, I don't' think you should be reassuring kids that its okay.

Besides, not all revolution is terrorism. What about the Glorious Revolution? Hmm?

And I fail to see how arguing with you makes me a kid so much that I have to grow up. What does that mean? Insulting me because you can't argue well?

The American Revolution is taught to kids in Elementary School, and the minimum age to post, according to this forums rules, is 13. You can do the math =/.

Blowing buildings that symbolized control over the people inspired them to have the courage to defy a dictatorship, whereas blowing up the Twin Towers was viewed as bad, FROM OUR PERSPECTIVE. Were we the terrorists, would we think it so wrong? didnt think so. I sure as hell am NOT defending the terrorist, but your own narrow minded view on the matter needed to be widened =/.

The Glorious Revolution was an overthrowing of an entire government. If that isn't terrorism, I don't know what is. Bloodless Terrorist Rebelion is still Terrorism =/.

The fact that you can't grasp the concept of all rebelion bieng terrorism in the eyes of the government means that you have ALOT of growing up and thinking to do, which I would suggest you start trying. And as for not argueing well, you're the one who is defeating himself with his own points =/.

It never got that in depth in Elementary school they barely scratched the surface you don't really learn all of this stuff until High school.

Also there is alot of kids on the website everyone knows that and don't try to hide that fact and since you clearly know the rules you should know that using profane language can offend people. I'm trying to mini-mod I'm just saying that I was offended on your word choice.

I first learned tar and feathering in Elementary School, was taught that loyalists were covered in burning hot tar then covered in feathers for their loyalty. Perhaps it isn't as in depth as what we learn in High School, but i fail to see the "non-kid friendly" part in either mine or V's posts

Tough luck for those kids, they want to break the rules, THEY will adapt and read at their own risk, I am not going to change my word choice simply because they want to enter a forum clearly to mature for them. None of my posts use profane language, but if you thik they do, feel free to hit the report post button, and let a mod decide =/.
