My question is, for Voltage Shoot, you have to discard 2 {L} from your hand. Yet, if you can't discard 2 {L} energy from your hand, it doesn't state that you cannot use the attack. My question is, what is the ruling for its attack?
 
You must discard the two energy in order to perform the attack. Since your opponent has no knowledge of your hand, you can't prove whether or not you have the energy.

On a related note, there are several typos on this card but for some reason there has never been an eratta.
