Fossils can be swoop! teleported, correct? since, when in play, theyre considered basic pokemon. but, when theyre not on the field, theyre considered trainers. so, i wasnt sure if you could swoop for a fossil.

You can S!T when the fossil is in play, since it counts as a basic. But since fossils are ONLY Trainers while in your deck, you can't use S!T to replace a basic with a fossil.

^ k. yeah, thats what i was thinking, but i wasnt sure. i dont use swoops too much, as you can prolly tell. thanks.

Q. Can I use "Swoop! Teleporter" with a Fossil card that is in play?
A. Yes you can, but you wouldn't be able to switch for another fossil, because in your deck they are not counted as Pokémon. (Mar 10, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

I loved doing that with Grumpig/Metagross. I say someone at States and Swooped! for a fossil and no one caught it.
