Gengar vs Unown G

1. Does Unown G stop Shadow Room and Poltergeist from doing damage?

2. Also, does Gastly SF's Pitch Dark stop your opponent from playing Supporters, Stadiums, and Pokemon Tools? Or is it just limited to stuff like Switch, Warp Point, Great Ball, etc.?
 
1 - It stops Shadow Room. Poltergeist, however, isn't stopped because the damage is just calculated by looking at your trainers in your hand, which goes straight past Unown G as it only shields your active Pokemon from effects, not you.
2 - Only TRAINERS. See the very top-left part of those cards? If it says TRAINER, then its stopped.
 
If the actual effect of the card does not affect the Pokemon with Unknown G attached to it or would specifically add damage, not damage counters, etc. it isn't stopped by Unknown G. Everything else is stopped, though. I don't remember Ghastly's exact text, but i believe it says Trainers, Supporters, or Stadiums.

Celebi23 - Gastly's Pitch Dark says "Your opponent can't play any Trainer cards from his or her hand during your opponent's next turn."
 
I would like to shed a little light upon this subject~

All trainer cards have the word "Trainer" on the upper left hand corner of them.

I have been in situations, where my opponent has played a card that has prevented me from playing "trainer cards" during my next turn~

However, as already said supporters and stadiums, are not trainers.

However, pokemon tools, are considered trainers, because they have the words "trainer" in the upper left hand corner, even though they have the words "pokemon tool" in the upper right hand corner of the card.

Therefore, Gastly wouldn't prevent you from playing supporters or stadiums, unless it says so otherwise~
