Question Regarding Running Pokemon off the same Evolution Chain

See I have a Doubles Format Trick Room/Drizzle Team with Politoed as my lead with Drizzle along with Xatu with Magic Bounce, my question is whether If I can run Poliwrath in my team despite that it evolves from the same Pokemon as Politoed does being Poliwag. If this is legal to do then let me know...

The Species clause only pertains to the actual species, regardless of what it evolves from. (Alternate forms are counted as the same species.)
I have seen someone in VGC use Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff on the same team and it did just fine. (Magnezone and Magneton on the same team is also sometimes seen.)

So yeah, you can use Poliwrath and Politoed on one team, because Poliwrath =/= Politoed.
