Project Custom 3-Water Division

Hello, and welcome to Project Custom 3! Project Custom is a series of tournaments that debuted here about a year ago. We are now in our third season of competition, and in hopes to spread this competition across the online Pokeforum world we have made a site here in which we hope to see some awesome art created! Please let me explain how this will work.
In the past, Project Custom Tournaments used to operate on one thread or forum with a series of challenges leading up to a finals round where a very difficult challenge was announced. This time around, we have completely re-vamped the style of competition to make it more exciting and enjoyable by all who compete and judge. Project Custom 3, or PC3 for short, will have three stages of competition.
Part One:Multi-Forum Competition
This is the stage that will be taking place here, and on other forums. There will be Five small tournaments with three challenges per tourney on every forum that has a site. Nobody will be eliminated from these tournaments and you can join as many of them as you like. If you cannot finish the tournament and are forced to drop out, there will a 25 point deduction from your CPT. Now you might be asking what is a CPT?
CPT is your Combined Point Total. All the scores you receive from the judges will be added together into this. This is how we will rank competitors to win tourneys (highest CPT from scores given in the tournament wins) and ultimately how we will select people to move on in the competition.
There will be a specific type of art we will be asking for in each tournament (banner, avatar, trainer card, etc.) and each challenge will be a variation on that. Each Challenge lasts 7 Days, or one week, with judging promptly following. Let me give a tentative schedule on how this will go.
Tournament #1-November 1st
Tournament #2-November 1st
Tournament #3-November 15th
Tournament #4-November 15th
Tournament #5-December 6th
As you can see, these are overlapping. By giving more than enough time for completing your weekly challenge, we have overlapped a few tournaments to save time. Hopefully Part 1 will be done by the end of 2008.
Part Two: The Playoffs
After Part One ends, a total of 20 competitors from all of the sites will be invited to continue to the next part of the competition. Part Two will be held here and competitors will be competing in a Head to Head Style. There will be a bracket of sorts and a different challenge will be given to each match. This will continue until 4 Competitors are left in the competition. They will advance to Part Three.
Part Three: The Finals
This will consist of one final challenge, a collection of 12 brand new pieces with restrictions. The four competitors will have a month to complete this challenge and then the results will be decided by the PC3 Staff. The four places will be:
1st Place (Winner)
2nd Place
3rd Place
Honorable Mention
Each will receive a prize package and recognition from the Staff.
After Part Three is completed, an Awards Show will be held on Skype. This is open to the public (as long as they give me their Skype username) and will be where we are announcing the winner as well as some specialty awards that will also receive trophies.
Now let me get to the information that concerns Pokebeach. There will be 5 Forums that have a site and we have divided them into divisions. They are as follows.

You are able to join tournaments on forums within your Playoff Spot Group. Only if your forum's tournament is FULL will you be able to go to any other group and signup for a tournament on one of their forums.
As you can see, your forum as well as PokeEarth Forums are grouped as far as competitors picked for the playoffs. This all depends on how good the competitors are, as well as how many people compete. Let me explain how the challenges will work.
Challenge System/Rules
1. Each Challenge will last 7 Days + a Judging day.
2. If you turn in your piece before 4 days after the challenge is announced, you are offered an incentive due to turning it in ahead of time. There are two choices for your incentive:
a) Feedback on your piece from me-This can be done in a PM or I can record an audio track if you prefer to listen to it. I wont score your piece, but give you positives and negatives from my point of view.
b) +2 on your FINAL score-If this incentive is chosen, your entry will be considered a final copy and you will not be able to edit it.
3. Each Entry will be graded on a 100 Point Rubric. The rubric is as follows:
Style: x/20
Originality and use of color: x/20
Relation to the Challenge: x/20
General Effects: x/20
Effort: x/10
Overall: x/10
4. Penalties will be given for Spelling Errors,Animation Lag, and if your piece is late. These will usually be -5 off of your total score AFTER the judges deduct points from effort.
5. Have fun with this!
Now in order to determine a winner of the tournament, the competitor with the highest AVERAGE CPT after the last challenge is over will be named the winner.
Basic PC3 Rules
1. All pieces submitted in PC3 will be pokemon related. If it isn't, you will get a 0 on the challenge, no matter how good it is.
2. Be Respectful to all competing artists and staff.
3. Any questions with rules or anything of that sort please PM me.
4. There is a strict rule regarding Deviant Art usage in Project Custom Tournaments. We need permission from the artist IN WRITING, PM’d to us before you turn in your piece. Without it we will automatically give you a 0 for that challenge.
5. Enjoy the competition! More information on the rules and regulations will be given as the first challenges play out.
Now for the first time in a Project Custom Tournament, prizes will be given!
The Prize List is not completed yet as I need to take an inventory of the pokemon I have, but many competitive pokemon with great IV's will be given out as prizes via Wi-Fi. I'm hoping to get the prize list up by today or tomorrow.
If you would like to signup to compete in PC3 please fill out the form below and post it in a reply.

Also if you have any problems with dates (going on vacation and such) please let us know ahead of time so we can exempt you from that challenge. Only one exemption per competitor is allowed. If you tell us a week before the challenge without a good excuse, no exemption will be given and you will just have to take a 0.
So please signup for one of the tournaments and we look forward to seeing some awesome art!
