Has anyone played this game yet? I watched IGN's video review and I was impressed by the visuals and IGN gave it a 9.3 which doesn't happen that often.

Yeah, my brother got it for Christmas, and I've been watching him play it the whole time.

It's a really great game visually and plot-wise (though, of course, the plot still somewhat mirrors the other Prince of Persia games, in that it's an evil force taking over the world), so if you're a fan of the other Prince of Persia games, then this one is definitely a good one to play. I'd highly recommend it.

I love games where you have to go around and cleanse places of the evil. That's one of the big things that made me want to buy this game. I haven't played any of the other Prince of Persia games, though, so this will be my first.

The only bad thing that I've heard about the game is that the fighting gets repetitive after awhile.

Yeah, the gameplay is definately lower than I thought it would be. Looks like a fantastic, visually appealing game though.

dmaster out.

They could've done more with the Cleansing cinematics (Yep, I went out and bought the game about an hour ago) but so far I'm pleased. Elika is pretty cool unlike all the other sidekicks that have been following around our favorite game characters recently (Sonic Unleashed's Chip, anyone), but she's way too helpful. Everytime you're about to die in battle, it's okay because Elika heals you. Everytime you're about to die because you pressed the wrong button and you are sent off of a cliff, Elika's there to pull a Nightcrawler and teleport towards you and save you.

I love the fighting gameplay so far, too. Button mashers will probably hate this game since it reads and executes every button you press. However, that doesn't mean you can just input the buttons and do a snazzy combo, you actually have to time it just right. The blocking and counterattacking system still gets me sometimes but it's alright.

Just remember, when there's an Elika, there's a way. :p

I've been watching a relative play it as well, Xous.

Visually appealing? Yes.
Redundant gameplay? Yes.

When you really think about it though, isn't Pokemon the exact same way? The training part that is; train, go to pokecenter, train, go to pokecenter, train, battle online (WOW)...and so on. XD

I really wouldn't know. I stopped playing the handheld Pokemon games around the time Yellow came out. After playing the game (Prince of Persia), the fighting isn't that bad. There are tons of different combos you can use to take down the enemies and if you're lucky enough you can stop the enemies from spawning all together if you're fast enough.

Wish you could do the same in Pokemon (it makes sense, though; if you're on your bike, you should be able to just zip past all the wild pokes, no?)

I borrowed this game today and it's great!
I don't like it when you have to jump :)
