Price dropped for DSi's & DSi's XL's?????

I thought the price for the DSi dropped to $150.00 and the DSi XL to $170.00? When I look at them online the prices for the DSi XL are still $190.00 and the DSi is $170.00. Did th price drop on the 12th of January to the lower prices or was it the 12th of December? If the price was supposed to drop why hasn't Nintendo dropped the price? I heard on the news the prices on both systems were supposed to dro $20.00 while the DS lite says at $129.99. Could someone explain why the prices have not dropped yet? Thanks.

I think its the retailers choice to drop the price or not.

Yeah, expanding on what evolution said. Nintendo changed the MSRP (Manufacture Suggested Retail Price). Thats the suggested price, not the set price. Hence, not every store has changed it

12th of September, I believe. As said, it's the retailer's decision, although they might be bundling it with something (I've never seen a retailer go higher than the MSRP without bundling something with it). What retailer was this?

Fred Meyer online has the System for $190.00 As I understand it is supposed to be $170.00 now and the DSI regular is supposed to be $150.00 down from $170.00. Walmart has the best deal The DSi XL and a game of your Choice for $190.00. However this is online and not in the store itself though. I am looking for a DSi XL now that my DSLite hinge is broken. We might do the Walmart bundle online. If we do it I am getting HG with my DSi XL. XD.

Ah. Fred Meyer's page is outdated, for some reason. It lists Metroid: Other M and Madden NFL 11 as "Coming soon". Those were released in August, right before the price drop. The price will probably be dropped if you buy one now, but that Walmart deal seems to be pretty good, giving you $20 off of HG. The Special Edition Red DSi XL still seems to be in stock, and that's just $10 extra for MK, if you don't already have it (I assume you already do, but just pointing it out).

I have the DSL right now and looking at a DSi XL because I am mostly blind anyway and would make things easier to see and I did not notice Fred Meyer's Page was outdated. Nice find man.
