Pokemon Pokemon- worship the devil?

I have a theorie that the creator of pokemon sadly worships the devil...
in a part of the original pokemon theme song if you play it backwards, it sais 'worship the devil!'.
If you play pa\rt of the poke'rap backwards, it sais 'I love satin'...
As WPM would say: Discuss!
 
When the dark pokemon were first introduced a bunch of christians said that they were related to the devil. They thought Houndoom and co. were evil and that pokemon was promoting evil. Personally I don't think the creator meant for it to say "I love satan". How do we know that the people who upload these backward songs have not tampered it in some way to make it say "I love satan"?
 
Pokemon has nothing to do with hell or Satan. Talking about this makes me sick, I'm a Christian, but God looks down at Pokemon and doesn't see it as a thing controlled by evil and hatred. Not at all

I am a strong believer in Christianity, as my dad is a pastor, but I only think that Pokemon is witchcraft. God looks greatly down upon Pokemon, and I am trying to get away from it as much as possible. I also believe with your theory, but I didn't know about the other part about the songs. How did you come up with that?
 
Not this again.....What makes it devil worship??? The anime? The same anime that promote(s)(ed) friendship/kindness/indeference towards others that are different then you? The video game? Theres nothing even resemblying devil worship in there that I've seen...maybe you could point some out for me. The products? Can't be that....As for the songs, its like that with a bunch of songs. But there are far worse songs out there that come out and promote such things as sex and drug abuse....

Stop blaming your own short comings on someone else, and admit your sins are your own fault
And worship god? Why? If i go to heaven, I won't be with all my friends and family, as well as with minds like Steven Hawkings and Aristotle.

Pokemon is not the only song where there were claims on it being played backwards and the word "I love Satan" comes out. Many Christian organisations have accused many different video franchises on this account.

Btw, the creator of Pokemon has nothing to do with this. Firstly, he didn't write the song. Secondly, he's Japanese. :F

And anyway, the Pope supports Pokemon. It's SOME of the other Christian sects that don't.

Lol, he was either joking, or he's emo. Anways, pokemon will have nothing to do with christianity, because as noobnerd said, they are japanese. Its a video game, get over it.

pokemon's not evil- your taught in the games to gether friends and to test your skills- the real worlds much more evil than it in my view.

Once again, it's just another case of extremism in religion. Don't think I'm being harsh here, because the majority of believers are alright; but honestly if you say something is evil just because it has "dark" in the name then you probably think it is blasphemous to turn a light off.

Eh... there are so many holes in this argument it is practically a sponge. I'm not closing this because it's, uh, interesting, but if I see any flaming then the thread gets a big fat lock.
 
People have the right to have their own beliefs, even if it is worshipping satan. Pokemon is not witchcraft. It is a creation that was made to entertain. Pokemon may be monsters but it would not be the same if they used real animals instead of creating fun creatures. As someone mentioned that theme tune was written by the American people, not the original Japanese people. The Japanese theme tune is completely different.

Well, I have an interesting story to share about this.

Around, oh, I don't know, 1 1/2 years ago, I talk to my friend about getting him started in the TCG. He and his fmily are HIGHLYHIGHLYHIGHLY Christian, so he natrually had to ask his mom. She wrote in a letter to the Pope, and he replied with these EXACT words (We received a copy of the letter)

Dear ******

Pokemon is an extreme act of Satin. Most, if not ALL of these "monsters" resemble the Devil, Satin, and Hell. The names of these "monsters" are what terrifies me the most. They are resembled to the devil himself.

Pokemon is not allowed in any church that I run, or most churches. The creator must be a Satin Worsheper

I bolded the text that made me laugh.

First of all; he used the word "monsters" in COMPLETELY wrong text. Pokemon arent' MONSTERS (Even they're proclaimed to be)

Secondly: I agree with bacon. The show teaches kids MANY good things. And, its kinda boring, so you KNOW that he CAN'T worship the devil if he makes learning something about life boring.

Thirdly: Formost, I would like to say that no. The creator did NOT write the song. I would tell you who wrote the song... but I can't pronounce his name (or spell it... or remember it) but that's beside the point. If he worshiped the Devil, don't you think most of us (and the press) would've seen it by now?
 
I really don't think that pokemon worships the devil. I mean, come on! I'm a christian and I like pokemon and you don't see me drawing circle stars. I think that back tracking thing was a mistake or they soon sacked the writer.
 
Some people are just stupid with their own religion and get their hair in a knot over it.
People like that are funny, i tell them i worship satan just to see them freak (Magma King was right lol, i dont really worship satan).
 
I agree with Dawn and Pachirisu, I am a Christian and find nothing satanistic about pokemon, alot of things they say is satanistic about pokemon isn't entirly true, if pokemon did worship the devil they say stuff like, Celibi Hell attack,
and celibi the cute little green creature is satanistic? Yeah right(sarcasm), i am really angry about all these things that say pokemon are satanistic. And the creators of pokemon are JAPANESE! and i don't think they are satanists or christians!
 
It's silly to think that Pokémon is evil. How evil can an Igglybuff be? It's a cute, pink, fluffy ball of adorable! There is far too much extremisism in religion these days. Pokémon was created by Tajiri because he thought bug-catching was fun (hence the Bug Catchers in the games). It has zero ties to Satan. That is all.
