pokemon with double resistance

The league where I play has never been able to answer this one the same.

Lets say you have a pokemon who is a dual type-- grass metal

You attack a pokemon who is resisatnt to both grass and metal

How is the resiatnace applied??

The thing thats really funny is when you use Sandslash d and smack a walrein ex in the face with double weakness.

Yeah, just -60. Or if it has the "new" resistances (since DP) just double the amount.
Wow @ the Sandslash. You're right. I thought they made the game in a way that a double weakness/resistance couldn't occur. Guess I was wrong..
