PokeBeach Podcast: Paldean Fates!

So my theory for the special illustration rares for this shiny set are as follows:

There are unofficial leaks that show Charizard and Mew from Obsidian Flames and 151 respectively. Now people have also stated that certain cards are shiny locked; however, I think you could make a nice guess based on the special illustration rare slots.

I think we will have the special illustration rares spread across the current releases.

1 Gardevoir ex (Base)
2 Meowscarada ex (Paldea Evolved)
3 Skeledirge ex (Paldea Evolved)
4 Quaquaval ex (Paldea Evolved)
5 Charizard ex (Obsidian Flames)
6 Mew ex (151)
7 Great Tusk (Paradox Rift)
8 Iron Treads (Paradox Rift)

I also believe the illustration rares will probably include a Pikachu, not sure about the other 2 slots.

Remember this track, Jon? This is the music you used as the intro for the first PokeBeach podcast type episodes you did all those years ago. I always thought that 90 seconds of nothing but music was way too long, myself.

Great Tusk and Iron Treads are not from Paradox Rift, they are new cards for this set.

Also, we know Mew is 232 and Charizard is 234 so one of those SIRs (233) would have to be either Psychic, Fighting or Darkness - since there is no Darkness pokémon that can come before Charizard then it has to be a Psychic or Fighting (in the prospective setlist thread we were speculating maybe Gardevoir, but it could be Espathra if it's a non-type-shifted Tera or Great Tusk).

Right got my wires crossed, because they were new prints featuring the future and ancient mechanics, it made more sense thematically for me. I still think there is a chance they fill those slots for those reasons though.

0:34 Contrary to popular belief, humanity has not yet gone to such extremes as to identify as lakefronts. I can almost guarantee that no sandbars are tuning into this podcast. (Although you never know who might choose to identify as one just to prove me wrong.)

4:37 @JustInBasil , I have eight words that are going to blow your mind: “A set of richly designed metal condition markers.”

Nearly three years later, I’m still glad I bought the Zacian & Zamazenta Ultra Premium Collection. Don’t be surprised if @Water Pokémon Master is still reminding you of this podcast in as many decades.

At the very least, they will use a different texture, similar to how the Shiny Holo Rares Water Pokémon Master revealed today have a texture that could also be aptly described as a “richly designed metal condition” and look more like they were designed for a Japanese card. The Ultra Rare Basic Energy weren’t technically “exactly the same” as the ones from Brilliant Stars

29:33 Water Pokémon Master, please hire an understudy to report news for you when you need to sleep or have family commitments. Our money isn’t worth your life. You have done us a great community service (JustinBasil too), but if your doctor is telling you something is wrong, you should consider changing something. Don’t worry, you won’t create a Paradox Rift by making us wait a couple of hours, we probably won’t storm Area 0.

Hope you two are doing well. Don’t pick fights with AI or offer any sandwiches to strange iguanas, or being sleep deprived will be the least of your worries. Send my thanks to @PMJ , @Jabberwock , and the other staff members. Happy thanksgiving.

(P.S. I watched the entire video before posting this comment, because I know it bothers Water Pokémon Master when people don’t finish reading articles before commentating on them. I can’t say the same of my comments on 0:34, but oh well.)

Great episode this week once again! I'm personally really hyped for all the products and the shiny set itself! Everything looks super good and I'll definitely get one copy of everything. Keep up the great work and if there's no episode next week happy Thanksgiving!

I really hope it's gardevoir, but isn't great tusk fighting? So it could be that guy. And I think they moved away from the tera of the same type now so I don't think it can be espathra.

8 includes supporters so your list is impossible.
