in legend of zelda phantom hourglass what do you do after you get the fishing rod from the wayfering guy, i went to the temple of wind but it shows you a map to go to the island with the old wayfering man (yes i went to the other twocspots where you meet the blacksmith and stuff) but when i go in the cave on the side of the island it tells me i need bombs and i dont know where im supposed to get that, so please help me and tell me where im supposed to go.

Don't you get the bomb bag in the second dungeon or something? I'm amazed you made it that far without needing them...then again, they have bomb flowers everywhere in the game.

Anywho, yes, you need the bombs in order to advance.

You get them in the Temple of Gust, the second dungeon in the game. You know, the one where the boss was that floating flower and you had to chuck bombs up at it? As elias said already, for better help go to GameFAQs and check out one of their guides. I'm unsure of where exactly the bombs are, otherwise I'd help out more.

i only have beat the first dungeon and when i went to the temple of wind it shows you a map to go to the bannan island

Okay then, let me break down the events that happen until you reach the Temple of Gust:

-After beating the first dungeon, head back to The Ocean Temple to obtain the Phantom Hourglass
-Navigate through the temple to obtain the NW Sea Chart
-As you attempt to go to the NW Sea, you're surrounded by thick fog and can't proceed
-Head to Cannon Island to obtain your cannon if you haven't yet and then head to Molida Island
-Find the path you need to take to get through the fog on Molida Island
-After getting through the fog, set sail for the Isle of Gust

That should be all you have to do. If you're there already then just navigate through the island. The rooms with the maps can be accessed afterwards, once you've cleared the temple.
