Help Play! Pokemon settings (Noob question)

Hi,

I've just registered a Play! Account and selected to participate in Championship points and have to select TCG or Video game...

Are either of these for TGCL?

Not sure if they class the mobile app as a video game...

No unfortunately, unless something has changed recently with that. It is just referring to the physical card game and the mainline games for competitive play.

PTCGL gives no championship points. You get championship points by going to stores/events playing the game phisically and getting a good placement.
