Outlook On Life

What's your outlook on life? I see my self as a realist, sometimes pessimistic, never really optimistic. How do you see the cup? Half full, half empty, or you can't tell since it matters whether it was just poured or not?

I used to be a much more pessimistic person. However, I've recently began to take life for what I truly believe it's for, which is making a difference. As of a year or two ago, I've been much more optimistic that life will continue to get better until my time here is complete.
And after that, I do believe I'll be with God.

I'm optimistic most times, but when I feel bad or things just aren't going my way. I turn pessimistic.

@ BES

Not to offend you or anyone who's religious, but i believe that things just happen. And for me, most of the time, it isn't the best. Wish my luck would change.

I'm fine with that. We don't all need to have the same beliefs. I won't try to throw what I believe on you, I was just simply stating my opinion. I appreciate your kindness.

I also wish my luck would change and my dang "Fox News Protesters" thread would stop disappearing. Upset Moderator, perhaps?

@BES

Yeah, some people get offended by that so i throw it in there, just to be safe. It's just that like, somethings, its like i wasn't meant to be good at or something (COUGH getting good pulls COUGH). But sometimes things do turn out for the better, just not often enough for me to be optimistic.

That's very respectful of you, and smart lol.
Definitely strive to be better at things you don't feel good at if you really want to. While you have your beliefs and I have mine, for all we know, neither of us could be right. Living life to the fullest really is the best thing you can do in life.

Overtly pessimistic to the point that I honestly can't figure out why. Most likely to do with an anxiety disorder I have.
However my pessimistic nature is combined with an overt realism.

Sometimes I don't even know what I'm talking about.

Random dude: Are you a half-full glass or a half-empty glass person?

Hyperbeem: Dude I'm trying to ladder here, stop PMing me.

Random Person: Whatever.

Random Person goes to Hyperbeem's place.

Random Person: Hey, here's a glass, now answer please.

Hyperbeem: Wow, stalker much. Anyways, gimme that glass. *Drink* Why the heck do you talk about the hot chocolate when you can drink it?

Random Person: Wow, that philosophically motivated me. I'm going to go get a life, thanks!

Hyperbeem starts laddering again.

I'm neither pessimistic or optimistic believe it or not. With my life, I have found the best view is really to go with the flow. Things go good and things go bad, life is nothing but a roller coaster and we're along for the ride.

I've always been slightly pessimistic. My glass is definitely half empty because I like to drink almost anything (milk, juice, tea, coffee, soda, etc).

dmaster out.

That. Dmaster officialy wins at this thread.

Today, an exact example of my realism (or what may be considered pessimism to some). I was at the dentist, knowing that I'd have like a cavity or two since for the past few months, I've been slacking on brushing my teeth, so i only did it like once a day. I wasnt expecting the worst, i knew it would happen. Luckily, no such luck (LOLZ), cavity free. Still, far too realistic.

Life is pointless, that's why you must give it a point.

I usually put all my energy into the things I love to make my life more enjoyable.

OFF-TOPIC:

BES, i quoted that :p

On topic:

Pessimism, in my life, is far more commmon among people that I know than optimism. Except Joeypals!!, most optimistic person EVER

But in all reality, I see Life positively. I'm a Jesus freak, so my views on life are those of a typical Christian. Live life, follow God's words, then live forever.

Not asking for a Religious debate, just answering the question.

@Safari

That picture in the You Laugh, You Lose and something else inspired me to make this, lol.

This may be somewhat odd coming from me. I don't know.
My glass is full, i wasn't thirsty. ;p
I think life is a beautiful thing. Something not to be taken advantage of. I see myself as a optimistic person sometimes, not crazy optimistic, but not quite pessimistic. When it comes to school, yes, the glass is half full. When it comes to some other things... sometimes not. But remember, it could all be shattered in a heartbeat, so enjoy it while it lasts. Let's also remember that i'm not crazy please. I'm kind of sensitive about that. Of course, you must follow God's word, what he tells you to do.
God bless.
