Ruling Nidoqueen RR maternal comfort question

Can I choose during my opponents turn to take of the damage counter at any time.

For example, I know that if I can take of the 10 damage early on my flygon it won't be knocked out. But I have been taking of damage at the end of my opponents turn usually.

Maternal Comfort must activate between turns, and no other time. If your opponent KO's any of your Pokemon with an attack, it's KO'd and discarded before Maternal Comfort triggers.
If there are multiple effects that trigger between turns, they occur simultaneously before checking for KOs also. (For example, if one of your Pokemon was Poisoned, the Poison damage and Maternal Comfort would trigger at the same time, and there would be no net change, since you apply all effects before checking for KOs.)
