New idea for forums: Will really help new members!

I think that there should be a whole seperate forums just for the Pokebeach rules. It would make it much easier on the newbies. Just consider it.
 
That isn't nessisary. The rules are found during the registration process and found in the PokeBeach Site Discussion. If nessisary, WPM put them in sticky form in all the forums.

If people ignore them now, do you think that they will pay more attention to a forum?

If anything, a good idea would be to make a quiz nessisary to register. :p
 
Yes. But the thing is some newbies don't know how to find the rules to look at them. If not a whole new forum then maybe in the description just say "Pokebeach's rules will be posted here.". How about that?
 
Look, while this is an, OK idea and all, making a new forum won't help members. I mean, look at this.

Ok, so even a big note in the ADMIN'S signature, doesn't keep n00bs from breaking the rules and asking redundant questions.

What we REALLY need around here, IMO, is to enforce these rules more. While the mods are (and always) doing a great job, it obviously isn't enough. I'm not sure WHAT I'm saying, except we need, I don't know... a tighter shift around here.
 
IMO a separate forums just for a pathetic thread is a stupid idea. Instead, WPM could leave a bar at the top of the forums, like he did when he enforced new rules. That's neater and nicer, and it appears right in front of those newbies.

I joined like less than a week ago, I already know the rules
They really aren't THAT hard to recognize and obey

So how do you propose we go about things? This answer has been stated so many times, but no one ever elaborates, and I'm still disliking this "solution" of WPM's.

If they can't find the rules and read them when signing up, they most definitely won't find them even if there was a forum specifically made for it!

That's just how it is. Current area is enough. End of discussion.

(Btw this has even been discussed before :/)
 
We appreciate any new ideas that you guys come up with, so don't feel disheartened when I say that I think things are fine the way they are... eh, I'll leave this open so some other members can have their say ;)
