My First Fake Card: System Force Trainer

Hey Everyone,

This is my very first attempt at a custom card ever. I spent a fair while trying to perfect the fonts on it etc. and I think I got as close as possible to the real thing.

Tried to keep the card realistic, whilst going for a technical, computerized feel. I have a lot of experience in web design, and used to design custom DVD covers, so I was able to put those skills to use here.

I got the inspiration for the main image off a desktop wallpaper I was using.

Wow, this is your FIRST? That's a good card. Perfect font, and great picture. I say, if it had the title Trainer, it would be 10/10

E.G. the titles there, but next to it is the subtitle that says Pokemon Tool, Supporter, Stadium, or Trainer
 
For your first fake, this is very good. Couple things though:

You're missing the word "Trainer" in the upper right corner.

The fonts are still off.

And the text should be justified. Check real cards for references. See how it's nice and neat without any hanging edges like yours does? That's how your card needs to look.

Unfortunately I don't know the real fonts you need.

But for a first fake... it's quite good. A lot better than some of the other stuff I've had the misfortune of seeing, that's for sure.
 
Yeah, my main problem was the fonts, thats why I didn't include the other trainer thing in the corner, because every font I used made it look horrible.

I totally did not think to justify the text, I'll do that in future.

As I mentioned I did used to design custom DVD covers using Photoshop, and I build websites, so that is probably why for a first card this is slightly better than a Microsoft Paint job! ;)
 
I am very much amazed by your skill here. For a first ever fake card it is amazing. It's just the word trainer and the font could do with a little tweaking. It is still one of the best fakes I have ever seen.
