It isn't the first, there is a Magikarp originally from HGSS which was reprinted during the SM era.
 
Absolutely stunning. Everyone who thinks 5ban graphics is a “boring CG render illustrator” good skip them, I want these cheap. But sadly these will 100% be more expensive than the originals. Duality of man for real.
 
Ugh….and here i was thinking that we would get a fire illustration for the Tao trio. And here we have this, honestly, atrocious thing.

Not dissing 5ban but i really would have liked someone like Akira Egawa (illustrator of both SV Charizards, crown zenith arceus, dialga, palkia and giratina) to do them because he does some really great connecting arts!

And then we have 5ban who just copy pasted the cover art for the gen 5 games. Cool.

The numbering is interesting. Based on the info we know every Pokémon will get a AR or SAR, Serperior ex sar is 169, while reshiram and zekrom are both 174. I assume at least 6 ex's per set so probably it's like 173 is the sar of them both, and 174 the bwr. So 175 should be a ex sar, or am I just confused?
 
Looks like they saw the sun-bleached Moltres and said let me give it a go. Honestly those monochrome cards look awesome.

I highly doubt that we won't get sir's for Reshiram, Zekrom and Kyurem, after all, supposedly every gen V pokemon will get an sir, these are probably gonna be more similar to the gold cards
