Monday, 2/4, Brawl Impressions and Video Translations

I don't get the meaning of the explanations. Could you please explain a bit better where you got them from and what they mean? Thanks!
 
I'm a little dissapointed about Pikachu... He's always been my main fighter. I'm intrested to hear about Lucario when/if you get to play him. :)

Yes Pikachu is even worse I was never one to use the stupid yellow vermin except when it was necessary to complete the game.
 
Probably the explanations from Snake. I like them though; they do go into more detail, and some are flat out hilarious. It's sad to hear that Pikachu is once again bad. I really liked the concept of Pokemon fighting and when they just purpousfully make a character worse than what he was like before, that just sickens me. I knew Pokemon Trainer was going to be a blast to play, though. I, as well, love his FS, and I love the control and variety from the different Pokemon. Yes, it is Waterfall, that move that can save you, and I like Squirtle and Charizard the best, as well. Can't wait for more impressions on Lucario and Jigglypuff. :D:D

So Lucario gets stronger when he gets more damage? Thats cool! Can't wait to use him, he's my favorite character!
 
I t looks like Brawl will be an awesome game to play as for the Pokemon, The reason I think they changed Pikachu a bit is because in the first game when thunder was used it rarely sticked to Pikachu. Meaning once the attack hit Pikachu it would stick instead of completely absorbing the attack and the damage meter would go up to 999% and it would stick like that for a few moments. When this happened all you could do is turn the camera. They may have done that for this reason and many others. It was a glitch of some sort that they fixed. I don't think it happened in Melee but I am not sure. WPM when you play again try it with a GCN control to see if anything changes.:)
 
I personaly found mewtwo to be good in the second super smash bros. He is probably the best person to fight giga bowser with. I was hoping that he would be put in brawl.:(
 
Characters like Pikachu, Peach, and especially Fox were downgraded in power because they were considered some of the stronger characters to use competitively. This is one way to balance out the characters.

On the flip side, characters considered weak in SSBM were made a lot better. The best example is Bowser: He's now faster, both in running and in attacking, and he hits harder. Same goes for Mr. Game & Watch and Young Link (reincarnated as Toon Link). In addition, the Final Smashes for all three are some of the more powerful ones.

By the way, I apologize if I mentioned any spoilers people didn't want to know just yet.
