I have seen in several places that Mew EX's Versatile Ability cannot be used from the bench.
The Pokemon rules clearly say about abilities ~
USE ABILITIES [as many as you want] and say Some Pokemon have special Abilities they can use. Many of them can be used before you attack. Each Ability is different, though, so read carefully to see how each one works. Some only work is a condition is met, while others work all the time even without you using them. Be sure to announce which Abilities you are using so you opponent knows what you're doing. Remember...Abilities aren't attacks, so you can still attack if you use an Ability. You can use Abilities from both your Active and your Benched Pokemon.
So if I have Mew EX on my bench or two or three of them for that matter and I follow the written rule, why should I not be able to use VERSATILE Ability and use any attack from any Pokemon in play [provided I have proper energies attached to Mew EX] and announce that I am using Mew Ex's Ability [per the rule] then use whatever active Pokemon I have and the finish my turn and Attack with them?
The rule about Abilities doesn't say anything about not being able to use an Ability that acts like an attack from the bench. What's the point of the making it an ability in the 1st place if not to be used as one ~ Mew Ex is arguably a weak EX card but the Ability IMHO makes this a very 'versatile' card being able to do damage from bench then being able to attack with my active Poke.
thanks for your help
