Earlier we were all happy about having 10000 members. Now it says we only have 5000 some. WHat happened?
 
The number is sporadic; it's some glitch in the system. Don't worry about it.

I'm pretty sure it was because of Chairman Kaga's "Genocide", wiping out most members with terrible inactivity.
 
Ya, I'd guess that it would be Kaga's mysterious work behind the scenes. :O
I believe he said something in chat about making it so only the members that have ever posted would count.
This just shows us how many pointless people register...
 
I nuked all the accounts that registered and never posted, because 95% of them were spambot auto-registers. Obvious fake emails, obvious auto-generated user names, etc.

Now that we have email verification enabled, we should only see users that are actually real from now on.
 
Can you delete the dead accouts that are 1 year or later so it shows the real amount of users and set it up for automatic delete if no one shows for 1 years or 365 days? That would clear up space for the forums also.:)
