OK so meganium prime is one of the most untalked about primes of them all. However I thought It has a lot of potential and I was wondering what other people have tried in the past and what cards work with it.

Meganium Prime

The first combo is to use it with blissey prime, you simply move energy from meganium using leaf trans, drop blissey and heal it up. I was thinking about this and I think its a bit too clunky.

The other route is to use the grass engine and making meganium a tank. Using shaymin Lv.X to boost its max hp to a whopping 190 HP, using metapod HS to remove weakness and adding sunflora for search. Using an expert belt Meganium has 210 HP and is swinging for 100 a turn, not bad.

I was looking through some cards and found this new thing,

Tangrowth COL

Tangrowth Lv.X

Using meganium simply move all energy to tangrowth and attack for large damage with its first attack. Using the lv.x will let you heal your tangrowths and meganium. When a tangrowth is on its last legs simply leaf trans all energy to new tangrowth and send that one up to attack.
If you used jirachi as a starter and then used some engineer's ajustments you could get this working very fast. Use engineers and jirachi to be discarding 2 energy at the least from your hand a turn (and drawing 8), use junk arm as well for extra effect. Bring up a tangrowth Lv.x and use big growth to take all that energy to your tangrowth and attack next turn for massive amounts of damage.

I think the deck could work, and pleae post any addional ideas.

heres a skeleton list:

3-3-1 tangrowth COL(with Lv.x)
2-2-2 Meganium Prime
1-1 shaymin Lv.x
2-2 sunflora
4 jirachi
(maybe a 1-1 blissey prime)

4 engineeers adjustments
3 BTS
2 rare candy
3 junk arm
3 collector
2 bebe's

Lots of grass energy (20-25)

Please any suggestions will be welcome and also any other combos would be greatful

Personally, I've been toying with the idea of using Celebi Prime for energy acceleration, but I'm really limiting myself to HGSS-on, and I know that there's better options.

I think this is a brilliant idea but I am not sure 20 energy is ok. For the fact that odds are 1 out of every 3 cards will be an energy and you really dont need that many. I would run at maximum 15/16 but that is me personally. Other than that I love the concept it looks and works quite well and I would love to see it work because I have a soft spot for grass tank decks

Celebi Prime for Energy IMO. If you run 2-4 {P} Energy You can spam w/Time Circle whie getting out enrgy for two energy a turn. Plus while Celebi is Active you can put two grass on it for one turn, then put a {P} Energy on it or vice versa. Many options with Celebi Prime as opposed to Meganium. Also Interveiwers questions are a staple here. Use 4 of them just to max out Energy attachment w/ Celebi Prime.

Well theres my oppinion

You can play maganium with roserade from unleashed you can also have rainbow energy's in there. And maganium would be good with max restore when that comes out.

^ i like that idea. move a grass to the roserade then just move it back to meganium. ive been doing tangrowth x with leafeon x and roserade UD. its pretty awesome.

i've realised that anybody interested in running a meganium/tangrowth should get the new COL deck . I has 2 tangrowth, 4 tangeal and a 2-2 chicorita - bayleef line whihc means just with the deck, simple buy a couple meg prime promos and you can get the magority of the pokemon lines for less than £15

I've had similar ideas to the OP. Currently I'm running a grass deck (just for fun) with venosaur, torterra, meganium and tangrowth lvX. Yes, it is just as slow as it sounds. I was thinking about making a tank build based around torterra (green blast) with meganium/tangrowth as techs, but it never occured to me to make a tank out of meganium or tangrowth.
