Wow, more bad megas. Camerupt doesn’t seem too bad, but being a 3-prizer is too much of a liability. Also most of the format right now revolves around big stage 2 ex Pokemon that Camerupt can’t one shot, making it basically unplayable.

Kangaskhan could be really fun. All you need is a way to consistently get 3 energy onto it (being colorless gives it access to a ton of different energy accel cards, I don't know what your best option would be), and now you can 2hko everything, with a 1/2 chance to ohko basic exs, 1/4 chance on stage 1s, and 1/8 on everything else. 300hp on a basic is insane, and you can be as annoying as you'd like using cards like Turo or Penny to recover any damage too.

I disagree with this, I think it could struggle with consistency, but a single tm evo gets you both camerupt and volcarona. I think you can snowball out of control before a lot of stage 2 decks can even get set up.

I don't know if I'd call either of these cards real threats to the meta unless there's some crazy support for megas we haven't seen yet, but I wouldn't call either of these cards unplayable. There's definitely fun decks you can build around both.

True, I guess it’s not unplayable. It has a bit of potential. I could see it being a tier 3-4 deck if the meta allows it to succeed.

Don't forget that Mega Kanga is a basic colorless, which slots it right at home with Curly Wall Bouffalant. With Terapagos, Noctowl, and Glass Trumpet that leaves you with a remarkably tanky deck overall that pretty much only gets screwed over by fighting type decks. It's possible with Hero's Cape, Lively Stadium, and Curly Wall to bring Mega Kanga to 490 effective HP, but realistically Bravery and Curly Wall is all you need. Add in Latias and some healing options and most decks will have a hard time dealing with the bulk.

Camerupt is solid it can do good yippee wahoo but Kangaskhan??? I think it has an argument to be universally decent. 200 can one shot weaker 2 prizers and most if not all 1 prizers, with one heads one shots a lot of basic 2 prizes, and one more one shots weaker Megas and most Stage 1 exs. Not to mention is has 300HP which is not getting one shot easily. And of course a free draw 2 when it's active is never bad either. It's not gonna replace the likes of Ursaluna but when it's gone Kanggaskhan might have a chance in the spotlight

LONG overdue. I remember the first ORAS set had both Camerupt EX and Sharpedo EX but neither had their mega evos in that set.
The Mega Evolutions did come out soon after in that Mega Powers Box that came with a whole bunch of new Full Art cards. There were also the Mega Sharpedo and Mega Camerupt Premium Collections. 😊

We do have Cinderace for a T1 going 3nd power up, although I think Cinder was meant to be played with Camerupt, although it does work here. We also do have Wally and Scoop Up for heals, but my problem with both cards is what are you gonna do with those energy cards in your hand? Maybe it’s a Bax/Emboar deck with backup W/R attackers depending on which rain dance Pokemon you use.
