Can i have 4 absol prime in my deck and 4 absol g's together. My friend says no but i cant see why not. Isn't it you can't have more than 4 of the SAME card?

You're absolutely right. The name of the card is different; it's "Absol G" versus just plain "Absol".
Note that "Prime" isn't part of the name, so (in Unlimited) you couldn't have 4 Absol SW and 4 Absol Prime in the same deck.

Also, just because they aren't the same card, doesn't mean you can have 4 of each in a deck. Take Salamence for example. There is a stormfront print and an arceus print. They are different cards, but are both "salamence", therefore, only 4 in any combination. I realized this is basically what DNA said, but I figured I'd provide an example not citing primes.
