RE: wii problem

you shouldnt have taken it apart.
sound like you just needed to get the scratched removed from the disk

RE: wii problem

struby do you have details on the pricing?

RE: wii problem

The answer is easy, you have to update your Wii. It takes a few seconds, then, all your games and some more will be playable.

didn't work no ^dates available:(

mmm...strange, do you still have warranty?
Well his warranty is void now that he took it apart. Most likely, your lazer was slightly off. Nintendo could of easily recalibrated the lazer to read the game. They can still do that, but won't since your waranty is broke. Go to local gaming stores and pray that they repair, otherwise; TRUST THE INTERNET. It's never lied to us, right?

They probably can repair it, but it will cost money now that the warranty is void. Hopefully, the cost of recalibrating the laser doesn't exceed the cost of a new console. I would say that if the cost is above 50% of the cost of a new console, then you may consider just buying a new console instead, unless you know the problem won't happen again, or the system isn't prone to other errors happening. If you have downloaded video games through the Virtual Console and WiiWare, Nintendo should be able to transfer them over to the new system.

Gamestop doesn't do it. Go to a locally owned buisness and see if they'll repair it. If not, take the 70$ deal, buying a new is 250, and used is 200, so your best option is to have nintendo fix it.
