LostGar Counters

What's the best way to counter against LostGar?

I keep thinking Umbreon/Tyranitar Prime but LostGar can easily counter against it with Omastar's Primal Swirl to de-evolve them and send them to the Lost Zone with Gengar Prime's Hurl into Darkness attack. Then it can use Palkia G Lv. X's Lost Cyclone to send more Pokemon to the Lost Zone and win on their next turn
by playing Lost World by declaring themselves the winner.

I feel like running les pokemon and pokemon lines would be helpful :/ I'm not sure, its tough.

Yeah tell me about it.

I'd love to see a matchup between LostGar and LuxChomp, seeing as how they're the best decks in the format right now with possibly Donphan Prime as probably 3rd best but that's debatable. I can see Donphan Prime lose against LostGar If Primal Swirl is used with the Omastar tech.

LuxChomp can just Power Spray on Lost Cyclone or Primal Swirl, other than that it needs to avoid
having Luxray GL Lv. X get sent to the Lost Zone from Gengar Prime or some other cards and most LuxChomp decks usually run 1 copy of Luxray GL Lv. X and If it gets sent it's game over possibly.

Depends on the deck. If you run any deck that includes some sp cards you can put in 1-1 absol g and 1 special dark energy. Then you can 1 hit any gengar.

Any other deck could use absol prime since it can't be devolved. Or some other easy to get out dark type pokemon.

Only problem with Absol Prime is that unless you're running Mew Prime you have to send a Pokemon from your hand to the Lost Zone to attack with it and not only that but it can also increase the LostGar players' chances of winning as well with Lost World.

Then there's Absol G Lv. X for Darkness Slugger which is better than Doom News in some cases I guess. Doom News is probably the best counter against Gengar Prime cause it KO's it later on.

How is LostGar one of the best decks in format right now? And Donphan 3rd? Where do you get these stats?

One counter is yes, Tyranitar Prime, but also Mesprit LA if your really afraid of an Omastar tech. Belt a T-Tar Prime and use it's first attack, that's a 2HKO on a LostGar, and it wreaks havoc on their bench.

^Lol, you are just giving more cards to the lost zone when you are done with your mesprits and SSU, because of Palkia G.

Seriously, guys. I have playtested this deck and it usually wins by turn 8. When I did it, it did not include any Omarstar or Palkia G, and it went very well, since the player includes a lot of suffle stuff as Judge and Spiritomb TR, plus the each turn Seeker (2 uses: get a sure pokemon lost zoned and reuse Spiritomb next turn).

Dialga G is the best counter we have. But even with it, I am not so sure, as you have to use Deafen each turn, to enable the win. But, easy techs like Gliscor UD or even just attacking with Gengar until it is KO would make you win.

And if you just tech in dialga g then you should add in 2-1. The level x is a common tech vs the most used bodies and running 2 of the basic is to lower the chance of your opponent to lost zone it.

Am i the only one who plays absol prime and sees it's potential? Have you never had any pokemon in your hand that you can't or don't need to use (any sp deck has). Like when you have used rare candy to evolve your stage 2 and won't need the stage 1 since you have gotten everything out already. Well why not lost zone if and while at it, 1 hit a gengar prime.

I teched in 2 absol prime, 1 mew prime, 1 machamp SF and 1 rainbow energy. In a gyarados deck I already ran 2 special dark for sableye and this tech worked awesomely. The deck wasn't the common gyarados that everyone played, but i also ran 2-2 ambipom TR to discard/disrupt and some other stuff. Since i had sableye (almost useless later game) and ambipom. I could easily just send them to the lost zone with absol prime when i needed to attack with him. I even lost zoned a gyarados to attack with mew to revenge k.o and hit on weakness for 240 damage (over kill).

Teching in absol prime gives you so many more options in any game, and 1 hits gengar.
